Where: A very large room
When: The beginning!
Summary: The first arrivals... arrive.
Warnings: Walls giving birth.
The wall looks solid. Gently curved, metallic, and a sort of pale bronze colour and very solid. Then a ripple appears on its surface, like someone had dropped a stone in a calm pool. This metallic pool, however, distinctly defies gravity, the rippling wall remaining quite vertical despite its increasing liquid-looking state.
Suddenly something breaches the surface of the wall and with it comes a gush of actual liquid, thick and green, spilling down the wall and out across the similarly metallic floor. The wall begins to ripple more fervently, and in great heaves a blue-and-silver figure is forced from its confines to finally collapse onto the ground. Gradually the ripples cease, the wall returning to its original solid state.
For a long moment the figure lies motionless. Suddenly he bursts into motion as if awakened from a nightmare, pushing up onto his hands and knees with a terrified gasp. He had been dreaming, hadn't he? Strange unsettling dreams that had seemed to last forever, but now he's finally awake...
Or is he?
Looking up, Mayday's jaw drops open as he surveys the strange room he finds himself in. Big doesn't even begin to describe it. The ceiling stretches up into a massive oblong dome, the far reaches of it almost lost in the haze of thin atmosphere. He's definitely not on their ship anymore, because he's pretty sure they could fit the entire ship into this single room.
He's woken up in a strange place with no knowledge of how he got there. Again.
He's all alone. Again.
And he's... he's covered in thick green goo.
Mayday begins to scream.

Date: 2014-11-23 06:14 am (UTC)His memories are distant, glowing as they flow past him in a blurred river, far out of his grasp. Occasionally, there are moments of lucidity and the manta... remembers.
He remembers vivid green eyes, the electric hum of raw energon in his hand.
He remembers the split second before death as his body is torn apart.
Normally, Depth Charge's grasp on these moments would ease and he would sink back into the dark calm. This some however, the lucidity stays with him. Consciousness tugs at him, dragging him down. He could feel his body suddenly, strange and alien and- fluid around him?
Suddenly Depth Charge finds him slamming into some cold, hard floor, the sound of thick slime hitting the ground echoing around him. The blue mech lies there for a long moment, too stunned to move. There's a brief moment where he finds himself just wanting to lie there and go back to the strange, calm sleep.
Was he dead? What a strange and weirdly slimy afterlife.
Before sleep could pull him under again, Depth Charge's listless reverie is interrupted by a scream. Optics snapping open, the manta-former drags himself onto his feet, unholstering his gun.
The strange, vast surroundings make him pause for only a second, but he quickly refocuses.
"Hello?" Depth Charge calls out, looking around.

Date: 2014-11-23 07:35 pm (UTC)Not needing to breathe makes a guy uniquely suited to screeching for a very long time. And for the moment Mayday is determined to keep screaming.

Date: 2014-11-23 08:32 pm (UTC)With a low growl of frustration, Depth Charge flips into beast mode and jets off into the deep strangely lit gloom of the massive chamber. The sheer size of it was staggering. What WAS this place? WHERE was this place? And why was he here? The last thing he remembered was the white-out pain as Rampage's spark imploded from the raw energon blade...
The scream was getting louder.
Shaking off the memories, Depth Charge refocuses his attention on the space before him. He could see a mech below, screaming. The ex-Marshal couldn't really pinpoint the exact source of distress just yet though. Was it the goop? Was it doing something the poor guy?
Mind racing, he transforms, landing in front of the... Autobot? That red symbol sure didn't look Maximal.
"I'm here to help!" he shouts over the screaming, approaching the slender mech with palms spread. "Tell me what is happening!"

Date: 2014-11-23 08:40 pm (UTC)"Wh-wh-who-?" The suddenly his feet slip in the goop and with a great deal of pinwheeling arms and fancy footwork, Mayday promptly falls flat on his back. He gives a sad whimper. "...Ow."

Date: 2014-11-24 03:54 am (UTC)"... Are you alright?" Depth Charge asks cautiously. This was- decidedly a bit weird. Well, everything about this was just weird, but this was also pretty weird.
He takes another step forwards and extends his hand slowly to the fallen Autobot. "I'm Depth Charge. I just... woke up here and heard you screaming."

Date: 2014-11-25 12:56 am (UTC)After a moment he realizes how that could misconstrued given that Depth Charge had just introduced himself. Peeking through his fingers he adds, "Um, I'm actually Mayday. I mean. I'm also filthy but that's no, uh. Who I am. That's just what I am. Currently."

Date: 2014-11-26 09:59 pm (UTC)"Now that we've established that you're not about to die horribly somehow, you wanna tell me if you know where we are?"

Date: 2014-11-26 11:49 pm (UTC)He stares accusingly at the slimy wall, which is now acting decidedly solid. He doesn't trust it.

Date: 2014-11-28 01:18 am (UTC)"Wonder what brought us here. And why?"
It certainly didn't look like Vok business for the time being.

Date: 2014-11-30 06:38 pm (UTC)He sounds sort of calm. Inside he is a storm of barely restrained hysteria because wow this is not something he ever wanted to go through again!

Date: 2014-12-04 09:16 pm (UTC)Well, that kind of sucked. He'd hoped Primal would have succeeded. Not a mech he'd necessarily ever gotten along with swimmingly, but he kind of regrets the fact now.
"I'm going to go do a perimeter check." Taking his remora gun out, he checks it over once and turns to go. "See if there's any way out of this place."

Date: 2014-12-07 03:34 pm (UTC)He jolts a bit as Depth Charge mentions perimeter check. "Um. It's a really big perimeter." Mayday stares out over the vast room. "M-maybe I should come with you?"
no subject
Date: 2014-12-13 10:10 pm (UTC)"Do what you want," he answers at last, lifting his gun into the ready position over his shoulder pauldrons. "Just don't get in my way."
It's said a lot... gentler than Depth Charge would have done before his stay with the Maximal exploration team. The manta still doesn't stick around to listen to Mayday's answer though, opting to just start heading off.

Date: 2014-12-15 11:01 pm (UTC)Don't get in his way. Right. He can do that. Let the other guy take the lead and be the first to run into any potential danger! Hahaha, please don't let there be danger.

Date: 2014-11-30 08:10 pm (UTC)Then he's suddenly ejected from a wall, covered in green slime. He rises to his feet, wiping his hands on his nosecone and shaking them to try and dislodge the goo, He looks around, deploying his minigun just in case as he turns to look at the wall, running his hand along it to test its solidity.
The disorientation, the slime, this whole experience brings back memories of his hatching. The only thing it's missing is an egg pod instead of a wall and Demolishor's ugly mug looming over him.
Then the screaming starts. Either someone's wringing out a small animal with heavy machinery or . . . "Mayday!" he calls out, trying to run toward the sound, slipping and falling because of the slime coating his feet. He curses, managing to clamber back upright and ignite his jet engine, hovering into the air and flying toward where he hopes the smaller Autobot is.

Date: 2014-12-04 10:26 pm (UTC)"Breakaway!" he practically squeals in relief, and tries to scramble to his feet to run towards his hovering friend. Instead, his feet slip in the goo and he pinwheels comically for awhile before landing flat on his face.
Whining ensues.
